[2027 Updated] Cambodia's Official 2027 Public Holidays Schedule

The Royal Government of Cambodia has officially set the public holiday calendar for 2027, confirming 22 days of paid holidays for civil servants, employees, and workers across the Kingdom. This schedule, established by Sub-Decree No. 198 on September 16, 2026, is crucial for planning in the fast-paced real estate sector.

The 22 days cover a mix of national, traditional, and religious observances:

Compliance and Operational Guidelines for Employers

All employers shall carefully review this 2027 calendar to ensure full compliance with the national labor regulations.

For businesses that cannot afford to stop operations, the Sub-Decree offers flexibility:

1. Rotational Leave: Entities whose operations are continuous may implement rotational leave schedules. This allows workers to take their public holidays in turns, ensuring necessary business continuity.
2. Alternative Arrangements: If rotational leave is impractical, employers and worker representatives can mutually agree to have employees work on a public holiday. In this case, the employee must be granted alternative leave at a later time.

These special agreements, whether they involve working on the holiday or taking rotational leave, should be guided by company rules, collective agreements, or direct agreements between the employer and the worker.
