PHNOM PENH – April 1, 2026 – Realestate.com.kh, Cambodia’s leading real estate platform, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with De Montfort University Cambodia, a UK-based institution renowned for its academic excellence, strong focus on graduate employability, and extensive track record of local and international collaboration. The university also holds the distinction of being the first UK institution established in Cambodia.

The signing ceremony, held at the Connect Center, marks a significant milestone in Realestate.com.kh’s ongoing strategy to expand partnerships across diverse sectors, both locally and globally.

This collaboration also highlights the growing connection between the education and real estate sectors. Universities play a crucial role in shaping property demand, not only through student accommodation needs, but also by attracting faculty, international staff, and even families relocating for long-term educational opportunities. As institutions like De Montfort University Cambodia continue to expand, they naturally contribute to the development of surrounding communities, driving demand for housing, rental properties, and lifestyle amenities.

Tom O’Sullivan, CEO of Realestate.com.kh, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration

“At Realestate.com.kh, we are passionate about educating both local and international audiences about Cambodia’s property market and helping them navigate it with confidence. Relocating from abroad, especially from places like the UK, can be a complex process, particularly for teachers, students, and even families seeking the right environment to settle in.

Through this partnership, we are proud to provide a platform that simplifies that journey and reduces the challenges they may face, while supporting the broader ecosystem that universities help create.”

Arlene J. Jimenez, Project and Business Development Manager at De Montfort University Cambodia, echoed this sentiment

“At De Montfort University Cambodia, we are deeply committed to building meaningful partnerships that enhance the experience of our students and faculty. Our collaboration with Realestate.com.kh allows us to extend our support beyond education, helping students, educators, and relocating families better understand Cambodia’s real estate landscape.

We are delighted to work with a market leader and look forward to providing our community with valuable insights into property trends, rental options, and investment opportunities.”

As Cambodia continues to position itself as a growing hub for international education and investment, partnerships like this reinforce the importance of cross-industry collaboration. By bridging the gap between education and real estate, Realestate.com.kh and De Montfort University Cambodia aim to create a more seamless relocation experience while supporting the long-term growth of vibrant, well-connected communities.
