Cambodia's Tallest Bridge: Connecting Battambang, Pursat, and Koh Kong Provinces

Cambodia is poised for a major economic transformation with the construction of the tallest bridge in the country. Located on National Road No.10 and connecting Battambang and Pursat Provinces with Koh Kong Province, this ambitious infrastructure project is nearly 64 per cent complete.

Rising to an impressive height of 90 meters and spanning 530 meters in length with a width of 10 meters, this landmark bridge promises to bring a host of benefits to Cambodia's economy.

One of the key advantages of the bridge is its role as a crucial transportation link. It is expected to enhance trade, investment, agriculture, industry, and tourism, particularly with neighbouring countries. The improved connectivity between provinces will facilitate the movement of goods and people, fostering economic growth in the region.

With an estimated cost of $188.38 million, the project is financed by the Chinese Government, with additional contributions of $23 million from the Royal Government of Cambodia.  Once completed, this transformative infrastructure project is set to pave the way for increased economic opportunities in the country.

The construction of the bridge commenced on March 9, 2020, and is on track to be completed by May 2025.
