Dara Sakor Airport Nears Completion

After several years of construction, the Dara Sakor International Airport, located in Koh Kong Province, Cambodia, is nearing completion. As of March 31, 2023, the project has achieved a progress rate of 90.5%. His Excellency Sin Chanserivutha, Undersecretary of State and Spokesperson for Civil Aviation, confirmed the project's status and announced that the airport is expected to be officially inaugurated by mid-2023, barring any unforeseen delays.

The construction of Dara Sakor Airport, undertaken by the Union Development Group, began in 2017 on a sprawling 218-hectare site. The airport is strategically positioned to serve as a vital transportation hub in the region, with the potential to boost economic growth and tourism in Koh Kong Province and neighbouring areas.

Once completed, Dara Sakor Airport will feature modern facilities and infrastructure designed to handle both domestic and international flights, opening up new opportunities for trade, investment, and tourism in the region.
